The Hospital Information System (HIS) currently used by AMH is MedCare, which is created in-house and tailor made to suit the needs of AMH. With the Electronic medical record, from which doctors enter their orders, document their care, and view lab and x-ray results.

We are the first private hospital in Bahrain to implement the in-house HIS System in March 2016 which replaced the 20 years old legacy system. It is developed in latest technology and more comprehensive to meet the current standards of any hospital which improves the quality patient care and scalable for further enhancements.

The hospital also has a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to better serve our Radiology department as they diagnose patients’ maladies, improving the quality and availability of medical images.

The HIS Department also supports improvements in our operations by implementing other programs whether purchased, free / open source, or created in-house.
